Frequently Asked Questions
Are you looking for treatment options that allow for the strictest standards in confidentiality?
Along with scheduled counseling sessions via telephone or Skype, Alcohol and Addiction Support gives you the ability to reach me, at any time, via phone, text message, or email. This option provides for one-on-one support outside of a group setting, where your confidentiality or anonymity may be compromised.
Do you want help but refuse it because you need to maintain employment?
In today’s struggling economy, many of our clients do not have the luxury of taking time off from work to address their substance abuse issues. Alcohol and Addiction Support makes it possible to get the help you need without losing financial security. I offer therapy solutions that will fit into your busy schedule without constricting you to a formal schedule.
Do you have a history of relapse once you transition from treatment?
Most people are able to stay clean and sober while they are in treatment. Their struggles usually begin when they are discharged and go back to everyday living. Alcohol and Addiction Support is ideal for those who have completed residential or outpatient treatment. Our program offers continued support on an as-needed basis until you are able to maintain your recovery using your own resources.
Have you failed to maintain your recovery due to overwhelming cravings, triggers, or everyday life stresses?
People with a history of addiction often find themselves stuck in a never-ending, vicious cycle. Alcohol and Addiction Support can help you break that cycle. You don’t have to wait for a scheduled session or meeting to seek help. I am available around the clock to assist you with your everyday life struggles that so many face in early recovery that inevitably lead to relapse.
Were you motivated to stay clean while in treatment, only to lose it shortly thereafter?
Recovery is a life-long process. After a few days or weeks without the use of alcohol or drugs, some people often begin to experience a euphoric feeling as if they are “cured”. This false belief often ends in an attempt at “controlled” drinking or using. Staying connected with your counselor and following your treatment plan will help challenge those false beliefs, and address issues which tend to lead you back to your addiction.
Have you tried 12-step meetings and found that they are not enough?
Some people find that early recovery requires more than a 12-step program alone. Alcohol and Addiction Support offers one-on-one confidential therapy with licensed professionals that is an invaluable supplement to your 12-step program. Our counselors work together with the client to create individual treatment plans tailored to your specific needs. Some people find that early recovery requires more than a 12-step program alone.
