Support that doesn’t stop at the end of the session
Traditional counseling gives you one hour a week. The other 167 hours are on your own, and that is where most of the struggle happens: the drive home from work, the argument with your spouse, the Friday night when everyone else is drinking.
What makes my practice different is simple. I don’t disappear between appointments. Every client has a weekly session plus daily support, so you have someone in your corner when it actually counts.
Most people do not relapse in a counselor’s office. They relapse on an ordinary Tuesday evening, when they are tired, stressed or lonely and the old habit feels easier than anything else. Daily recovery support is built for exactly those moments, giving you a steady voice to turn to before a hard moment turns into a setback.
Daily support helps most when
- You are in early recovery and urges come up often
- Weekly counseling alone has not been enough in the past
- You are rebuilding routines after treatment
- You want accountability while you change your habits
- You tend to keep struggles to yourself until they get big
For more on how ongoing support improves recovery outcomes, see the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism at NIAAA.
What recovery coaching with me includes
Weekly sessions
A regular session where we work on the deeper patterns behind your addiction, using approaches like CBT, DBT and Solution-Focused Therapy.
Daily support
Between sessions, I’m available every day to help you through cravings, stress and difficult decisions as they happen.
Accountability and progress
We set clear, realistic goals and check in on them often, so you can see your progress and adjust quickly when something isn’t working.
Why daily support makes such a difference
Cravings tend to peak and pass. If you can get through the next 20 or 30 minutes, the urge usually fades. Having someone to reach out to during that window can be the difference between a hard moment and a relapse.
Daily support also means problems get handled while they are small. Instead of waiting a week to talk about an argument, a bad day at work or a tempting invitation, we can deal with it right away and keep you on track.
Over time, you build your own skills and need less support. The goal is for you to become confident handling hard moments on your own, with the support there as a safety net while you get there.
This kind of support is also about connection. Addiction thrives in isolation, and many of my clients have spent years hiding what they were going through. Having one person who knows the whole story, and who checks in with you, can make you feel much less alone.

A counselor who’s been there
I’m Jennifer Sartin, MS, a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (Texas LCDC #11510) with 17 years of experience. Before I became a counselor, I struggled with alcohol and drugs myself, so I understand this from the inside.
My practice focuses only on addiction. Every client gets a weekly session plus daily support between sessions, because recovery happens in everyday life, not just in my office.

Many clients tell me the daily support is what finally made recovery stick. It is the difference between white-knuckling it alone and having a guide alongside you.
Colleyville clients often have demanding careers and busy family lives. Daily support is designed to fit around that, so you do not have to rearrange your whole life to get real, ongoing help with your recovery.

What is the difference between counseling and recovery coaching?
Counseling digs into the reasons behind your addiction. Coaching focuses on daily action and accountability. With me, you get both: a weekly counseling session plus daily support.
Is daily support included for every client?
Yes. Daily support between sessions is part of how I work with everyone, not an extra add-on.
Who is this a good fit for?
Adults who are serious about changing their relationship with alcohol or drugs and want more support than a weekly appointment can give.
How do I start?
Call (817) 381-8227 for a free phone consultation. Most new clients begin within 1–2 days.
Does daily support replace my weekly session?
No. Daily support is in addition to your weekly session. The session is where we do the deeper work, and daily support helps you put it into practice.
What if I’m struggling late at night?
We plan for your highest-risk times ahead of time, including nights and weekends, so you know exactly what to do when they come up.
If you’re in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988, or call 911 in an emergency.
